Trauma-Informed Consultancy, Training & Research

Where evidence, experience, and ethics meet

LUMRAH is a trauma-informed consultancy, training and research practice working at the intersection of academic evidence, professional expertise, and real-world experience.

About

About LUMRAH

LUMRAH supports organisations to respond more effectively to trauma, complexity, and disadvantage — particularly within education, youth justice, probation, policing, and services working with multiple needs.

The work focuses on how systems respond to trauma, and how those responses can either deepen harm or create the conditions for safety, recovery, and long-term change. LUMRAH supports organisations to move beyond policy-level understanding and embed trauma-informed, relational, and evidence-led practice in ways that are practical, ethical, and sustainable.

At its core, LUMRAH exists to bridge the gap between research and practice — supporting services to work with clarity, compassion, and confidence in complex environments.

Founder

About the Founder

I am a doctoral researcher specialising in trauma-informed care, with a particular focus on individuals experiencing severe and multiple disadvantage.

I bring over 20 years’ experience working in partnership with education, youth justice, probation, policing, social care, and the voluntary sector.

My work is rooted in a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach that recognises people not by their difficulties, but by their capacity for resilience, growth, and change. I am particularly interested in how services can move beyond deficit-based models to approaches that recognise strengths, promote recovery, and build long-term stability.
